This was a pretty good start.

Why are Chinese studios so obsessed with CGI? Im glad they didnt go full CGI with Scissor Seven. One of the best Chinese anime that I still rewatch time and again. Id love to see some of these Chinese series and movies in non-CGI format. CGI is not serving them justice IMO.

Cant agree with you there cause the main stream CGI's are amazing. just watch the first ep. of soul land.... that's the one that got me hooked on 3d donghua ..... clean and smooth fight scenes that you can follow clearly at a fast pace....this cannot be done in 2d..i would love to see the naruto vs pain fight done in 3D by soul land or Journey's animators.....A motals journey to immortality is also a beautifully done and i like the fact that most of the characters actually look Asian

In China, the 3D market is better and the employment environment is better. 3D animation companies make CG games to make money and it is easier to develop

If you were exposed to 3D first instead of 2D, maybe you'd be saying the reverse right now. But what makes you love 2D so much anyway?? There's some beautiful 3D animation series out now that are super dope, you should go experience them in all their splendor!!

But this CGI is actually one of the top tier ones I've seen, I was surprised it wasn't one of those standard low quality CGI so I'm quite satisfied with this.

yeah usually the 20 min ep's have the good cgi. but the 5-10 min ones come out twice a week so idk why they are not as good with the cgi. there are a few i wish had better cgi because the stories are good.

I completely understand, I'd LOVE top notch cgi as well, but again, who's going to finance it?? I was hurt when I saw the manhwa "Urban Immortal Cultivator" on Gogo's list but was fanmade, it definitely deserves more than a picture novel, I swear I'm kind of bitter about still smh (hopefully it wasn't the one I wanted and I was mistaken aha). Though, if we don't pay or contribute some resources of any type, then we don't really have a say so right?? We can voice our opinions all we want but it doesn't matter, it's irrelevant to the studios who're creating these series. We just have to hope one day we get what we want, whether we paid or not.
